About Me

A little about me. In my normal life, I am a civil engineer who sits behind a desk everyday. I got married to my wonderful husband in 2006. Since meeting him and our many days of eating out and less working out, my weight started to creep up. In August 2007 my girlfriend wanted to get back in shape after her pregnancy. She talked me into running weekly with her. I agreed, and this began my plan to get my body back in shape. I wanted to add some additional workouts to my run, so I pulled out my old Slim in 6 videos. At the same time, I re-found the online message boards at Beachbody where I meet a lot of great people who kept me committed to my fitness goals. I also found a great coach who was there everyday to help me stay on track! Today, I'm still working to sculpt my body and get it into the best shape ever. As I have progressed through my body's transition, I decided to become an Independent Beachbody Coach to help others reach their fitness goals! I realized it was easier then I thought, and I really believe others can change their lives too!

Become a blogger!

I just received an email from Andrew and how he just started P90X and informed me that he was going to start a blog to post his daily ups and downs!  I loved the idea!  I want to thank him tonight, for reminding me to tell others that they to can become a blogger.  My blogs are posted through blogspot.com!  It's free and fairly simple to learn.  It may take an hour or so to figure out what you are doing, but than you can just start writing away!

Why would you want to become a blogger!  You can use it as a way to track your daily progress.  Remember a while ago, I wrote how journaling helps you on your journey!  Well blog away start writing all your ups and downs, your favorite workout.  Find a favorite receipt or secret to help you stay on track, write a blog about it.  Have you suddenly found a trigger to why you stress eat, note it for a reminder later on?  Jot it all down in your blog!  You can write down your accomplishments and your struggles!

As you write your blog, you can look back on your story.  Post your pictures and continue to update them!   When you get to a certain milestones, like loving the push-ups you so once hated, you can look back and smile!

I believe you can make your blog public or keep it private.  You can send the blog link to your coach and let them use it to check in on your progress and leave comments of support and motivation!

I know Andrew just started P90X!  I can see his daily struggles and I can tell if he's on track by seeing when he last posted.  No recent posts, hmmm, maybe as your coach its a sign I need to come look for you!  I can also see where he is having problems, and maybe offer support or advice.  It all depends on what he feels like writing.  You will find writing out your thoughts is so helpful and more of a motivation to keep going!  If you share it, maybe you can help motivate others with your story!

I love the idea, and I would gladly check your updated if you send me a link to your fitness blog!  If you have questions getting started, then drop me an email and I will try and help you get going!

You can also use it to track your story.  Then when you have that awesome transformation and you want to submit your story to the Million Dollar Game, BANG!  It's all written there for you!  Now winning that $250,000 just became even easier (ok, you still need to do the work, you just will have help remembering the journey to get their)!
