About Me

A little about me. In my normal life, I am a civil engineer who sits behind a desk everyday. I got married to my wonderful husband in 2006. Since meeting him and our many days of eating out and less working out, my weight started to creep up. In August 2007 my girlfriend wanted to get back in shape after her pregnancy. She talked me into running weekly with her. I agreed, and this began my plan to get my body back in shape. I wanted to add some additional workouts to my run, so I pulled out my old Slim in 6 videos. At the same time, I re-found the online message boards at Beachbody where I meet a lot of great people who kept me committed to my fitness goals. I also found a great coach who was there everyday to help me stay on track! Today, I'm still working to sculpt my body and get it into the best shape ever. As I have progressed through my body's transition, I decided to become an Independent Beachbody Coach to help others reach their fitness goals! I realized it was easier then I thought, and I really believe others can change their lives too!

Does it ever get easier?

I had all this energy today that I had to get out in a great Tony workout!  I decided to do Total Body X+!  I haven't done that in awhile and really wanted a good overall burn!  I forgot what was in that workout!

I remember saying OMG, this is only the warm up!  We were doing push-ups and stuff to warm up, then I knew it was going to be hard!  Just as I was saying that - out-loud of course, Tony goes something like this is the X +!  Making the movements with his arm.  My husband just laughed and said- honey, he just answered why the warm us is so hard!  Then walked out the room and left me to sweat it out myself!

I have to say,  some of those push-ups are a killer!  I can get through the first few rounds of the pull-ups where I can really do the pull-ups un-assisted in the negative.  But, after a few rounds- it's really challenging!

I increased the weights I use to give myself a challenge!  I wanted to feel the burn!

I managed to push through all the moves.  Not very happy with some of them!  I just wanted to through the weight at Tony's head verses putting them on an imaginary high shelf!   I lost my balance in a lot of the moves, but I know that it just means I have more to focus on the next time.

I do know that I am so ready for the X/X+ rotation I can't wait until October rolls around!
