About Me

My photo
A little about me. In my normal life, I am a civil engineer who sits behind a desk everyday. I got married to my wonderful husband in 2006. Since meeting him and our many days of eating out and less working out, my weight started to creep up. In August 2007 my girlfriend wanted to get back in shape after her pregnancy. She talked me into running weekly with her. I agreed, and this began my plan to get my body back in shape. I wanted to add some additional workouts to my run, so I pulled out my old Slim in 6 videos. At the same time, I re-found the online message boards at Beachbody where I meet a lot of great people who kept me committed to my fitness goals. I also found a great coach who was there everyday to help me stay on track! Today, I'm still working to sculpt my body and get it into the best shape ever. As I have progressed through my body's transition, I decided to become an Independent Beachbody Coach to help others reach their fitness goals! I realized it was easier then I thought, and I really believe others can change their lives too!

And the Challenge Begins!

I have been preparing myself all month to get started with P90X again!  The message boards boards are rocking with everyone jumping on the New Year's Challenge!  Reminder, its any workout program where you are committing to working out 6 days a week from now to Jan. 1.  No more new years resolutions in our books!

So, today was officially day 1- Chest and Back!  Its been one of my favorite P90X workouts for awhile.  But, let me tell you, after taking a break from the normal P90X workouts, this was tough today!  My diet was a little light on calories (I really need to restock my kitchen!) so pushing through the workout was kind of a challenge!    But, I did it!  I continue to realize each and every time I do that workout how much stronger I am getting.  Its the little things, like how far apart my fingers are during those diamond push-ups, or how deep I can go during the decline push-ups!  Nothing is easy, but if it was easy, would I want to do this program?  Probably not, I still love the challenge!

So, I am going to keep it short and sweet today!  Day 1 is over and done with!  I'm scheduled to be in WOWY tomorrow night at 6 pm ET to do some plyometrics!  If anyone wants to join me and take a chance to win some prizes, I hope to see you there!

Let's all stick together on this challenge and really get awesome results!  I want to see bodies transforming all over the country (world for those in other countries joining us!)
