About Me

My photo
A little about me. In my normal life, I am a civil engineer who sits behind a desk everyday. I got married to my wonderful husband in 2006. Since meeting him and our many days of eating out and less working out, my weight started to creep up. In August 2007 my girlfriend wanted to get back in shape after her pregnancy. She talked me into running weekly with her. I agreed, and this began my plan to get my body back in shape. I wanted to add some additional workouts to my run, so I pulled out my old Slim in 6 videos. At the same time, I re-found the online message boards at Beachbody where I meet a lot of great people who kept me committed to my fitness goals. I also found a great coach who was there everyday to help me stay on track! Today, I'm still working to sculpt my body and get it into the best shape ever. As I have progressed through my body's transition, I decided to become an Independent Beachbody Coach to help others reach their fitness goals! I realized it was easier then I thought, and I really believe others can change their lives too!

Scheduling

Ok, so we talked about the food choices that we need to make to work our way to meeting our goals.  We have another choice in our daily life we need to make.  That choice is to workout and incorporate fitness into our daily life.  Yes, we all hate the thought of getting dressed, going to a gym,...  There is always some excuse, I’m tired, it’s been a long day at work, it’s raining,.. But we all know, it needs to get done.

This is where today’s topic comes in, scheduling.  If you want to succeed, you will find time in your day to workout.  Go ahead, write it on the calendar.  I will workout immediately after work and before dinner.  This is my time.  If you schedule this time, you should show up for it.  Also, scheduling it helps eliminate the excuses (well I needed to get my hair cut.)  Nope, you already scheduled that hour of the day to incorporate fitness into your life.  This time is planned for me and no one else but me.  You deserve some time to take care of yourself.  Heck, we all take care of someone else.  From husbands, wives, kids, your co-worker, your employer,... When are you going to start taking care of yourself.  The answer should be now!

So, starting today- get your calendar out and book your next workout!  Then don’t cancel on yourself, show up and Bring Your Best and Forget the Rest!
