About Me

A little about me. In my normal life, I am a civil engineer who sits behind a desk everyday. I got married to my wonderful husband in 2006. Since meeting him and our many days of eating out and less working out, my weight started to creep up. In August 2007 my girlfriend wanted to get back in shape after her pregnancy. She talked me into running weekly with her. I agreed, and this began my plan to get my body back in shape. I wanted to add some additional workouts to my run, so I pulled out my old Slim in 6 videos. At the same time, I re-found the online message boards at Beachbody where I meet a lot of great people who kept me committed to my fitness goals. I also found a great coach who was there everyday to help me stay on track! Today, I'm still working to sculpt my body and get it into the best shape ever. As I have progressed through my body's transition, I decided to become an Independent Beachbody Coach to help others reach their fitness goals! I realized it was easier then I thought, and I really believe others can change their lives too!

How to stop a junk food craving?

Alright, this is for all those people who have the urge to grab junk food just a little to much and can't stop the cravings!

The next time one of the urges arises for say cookies (fill in your weakness, chips, cakes, donut,...) I want you to take it in your hand, no bites yet.  Now walk to the bedroom.  Yup, I said I want you to take your treat to your bed room.  Now set those cookies down for a minute.

Next step, I want you to strip of all your cloths.  Yup, you still can't take a bite of that cookie. You must take off all your cloths first.  Ok,  so, you nakid now?  Good, now pick up that cookie!  Go take it for a walk.  I want you to go to the bathroom.  Once in there stand in front of the mirror and look at yourself.  Now that you are standing in front of the mirror, nakid with that cookie in hand, you can now go ahead and enjoy every bite of that cookie.

Ok, so that is a little extreme.  But, if it takes extreme measures to think twice about what you are doing to your body with every bite of junk you know your body does not need, then maybe you should try it.  Or, maybe next time you reach for these cookies, you can just visualize yourself eating it in front of the mirror nakid.   Do your goals come to your mind?  Hopefully you are now questioning how badly you really want that cookie?  Hopefully something in your head is telling you that it's not really what you want or need at this moment, so you make the right choice and put the cookies away.    Go drink some water or grab an apple instead!  Another craving solved!
