About Me

A little about me. In my normal life, I am a civil engineer who sits behind a desk everyday. I got married to my wonderful husband in 2006. Since meeting him and our many days of eating out and less working out, my weight started to creep up. In August 2007 my girlfriend wanted to get back in shape after her pregnancy. She talked me into running weekly with her. I agreed, and this began my plan to get my body back in shape. I wanted to add some additional workouts to my run, so I pulled out my old Slim in 6 videos. At the same time, I re-found the online message boards at Beachbody where I meet a lot of great people who kept me committed to my fitness goals. I also found a great coach who was there everyday to help me stay on track! Today, I'm still working to sculpt my body and get it into the best shape ever. As I have progressed through my body's transition, I decided to become an Independent Beachbody Coach to help others reach their fitness goals! I realized it was easier then I thought, and I really believe others can change their lives too!

Day 2 of early getting up early!

Today was day 2 of getting up before the sunrise.  Today was a little tougher.  I hit the snooze a few times.  But, its ok.  I committed last night to doing Start it up, but I had to get up my full hour!  So, a 10 minute late start for an hour workout was not to bad.  It's just so hard to get out of my nice warm bed on a terribly cold dark morning!

But, I did it!  I got up, got dressed and pushed play!  I also upped my intensity from yesterday.  And, since I was doing a short working, I made it more challenging by putting on the weighted hand gloved.  Let me tell you, wearing those gloves through a Debbie workout really wears your arms out!  Do you know how often she has your arms above your head or doing some type of curl, arm movement!!!  Its like very move!  My arms had a good burn.

So, I'm good for day 2!  Tomorrow is Ramp it up!  That will be a nice 45 minute workout!  See, I can gradually work up to a full hour just by following the program as it was written.

I do know I am almost lost at night now?  I sit here and go, I should be working out?  Now what?  So, it is great having the extra time at night to do all the other million things that need to be done! Its just strange not working out after work.  That has been my life for the last year and a half!  So, I guess if working out at night became a habit, working out in the morning will become one too!
