About Me

A little about me. In my normal life, I am a civil engineer who sits behind a desk everyday. I got married to my wonderful husband in 2006. Since meeting him and our many days of eating out and less working out, my weight started to creep up. In August 2007 my girlfriend wanted to get back in shape after her pregnancy. She talked me into running weekly with her. I agreed, and this began my plan to get my body back in shape. I wanted to add some additional workouts to my run, so I pulled out my old Slim in 6 videos. At the same time, I re-found the online message boards at Beachbody where I meet a lot of great people who kept me committed to my fitness goals. I also found a great coach who was there everyday to help me stay on track! Today, I'm still working to sculpt my body and get it into the best shape ever. As I have progressed through my body's transition, I decided to become an Independent Beachbody Coach to help others reach their fitness goals! I realized it was easier then I thought, and I really believe others can change their lives too!

Changing Day by Day!

Where o where is the sun?

Ok, I mentioned before that I needed help and needed to prioritize my time and really sit down and schedule things out.  My first rule to my self ordered daily agenda was to move my workout to the morning.  Ok, talk to my husband, I hate getting out of bed before the sunrise.  We have his thing- he loves sunrises, I love sunsets!  But, it has to be on my list to get up early and bring it!  Then go to work and get my day done!  That frees up an hour at night to play more!

So, today was day 1 of getting up before the sun!  Ok, so it was no where near the 2:30 my coach Dutch gets up to workout at.  For me, it was just 5 am!  But, still an hour earlier then I would be getting up!

I made myself a deal, I will set my alarm an hour before I normally wake up to get me ready for my hour workouts.  But, since I am doing Slim in 6, I am giving my first few days a break.  So, today I got up and did Start it Up.  That is a nice short (half hour) workout!  It was perfect.  I forgot how great a beginner workout that is!  Debbie really does start off short, easy and really explaining the moves.  SIU is so much easier then burn it up!  It was perfect warm up for my body to adjust to a new routine!

My workout was shorter and not quite as much energy as when I do them at night.  I also can't seem to see them as much since I forgot to put my contacts in before I hit play!  But, I did get up, I did go into WOWY and I did get it done!  And, since I got up an hour early for a half hour workout, I got to sneak a 15 minute nap between my workout and my hubby getting out of the shower!  So, it was my little reward for bringing it at 5!

Tomorrow, will be either one more day of Start it Up, or possibly Ramp it Up!  I'm allowing a gradual change to the new routine.  I refuse to injure myself by going to hard to soon when my body is to tired and not use to being "up" much less working out.

So, day 1 of rising before the sun is accomplished!
