About Me

My photo
A little about me. In my normal life, I am a civil engineer who sits behind a desk everyday. I got married to my wonderful husband in 2006. Since meeting him and our many days of eating out and less working out, my weight started to creep up. In August 2007 my girlfriend wanted to get back in shape after her pregnancy. She talked me into running weekly with her. I agreed, and this began my plan to get my body back in shape. I wanted to add some additional workouts to my run, so I pulled out my old Slim in 6 videos. At the same time, I re-found the online message boards at Beachbody where I meet a lot of great people who kept me committed to my fitness goals. I also found a great coach who was there everyday to help me stay on track! Today, I'm still working to sculpt my body and get it into the best shape ever. As I have progressed through my body's transition, I decided to become an Independent Beachbody Coach to help others reach their fitness goals! I realized it was easier then I thought, and I really believe others can change their lives too!

Even I can fall off the wagon! But, I wipe myself off and jump back on!

Ok, so one of my new coaches just told me that I need to prioritize stuff.  Boy, do they learn fast, and boy do we need to stop sometimes and listen to our own advice.

This week has been terrible for me.  I am such a go getter.  I have been spreading myself so thin lately.  I have been trying to help all my coaches grow, I have been trying to help answer emails from my coachees, I have been trying to keep up on the message boards for daily support and accountability to everyone, add in getting ready for Christmas, by writing cards, shopping, talking with friends on upcoming events, trying to clean, coking, adding in my workouts,...  I just was starting to get to much all over the place.  I was good on my emails, but falling behind on the message boards.  I missed one workout to go try and find a new winter jacket one night, well that lead into 3 missed days!!!!  When I started missing days, my diet started to look not so pretty.  So, I just felt myself spiraling downward.  It was a big crash and burn about to happen.

So, what did I do.  I decided that this week was my week to give my body a break it needed.  I reached out to my coach for a cry of help!  She too, told me to focus on the important things and schedule my time wisely.  I admitted on the board I was struggling.

After listening to everyone and myself, I said that is it.  I am rescheduling my week!  I am wiping the dirt off my butt where I feel hard off the wagon.  I am just going to jump back on.  I know I have my coach there to help me, I have my coachees and my coaches who all give me the support I need to get back on track.

I am making a commitment this week to do my workout before I go to work!  Oh, that will be tough, I am so not a morning bird!  But, I am going to do it!  This gives me my nights to get on track with all the other stuff that comes with the holiday season!  I already did my workout today and decided my eating will be spot on!  I am going to get my game on.  I want to stun my family and friends when I see them for the holiday!  I will determine what is important to get done and just do it.  I will learn to say, this can wait till tomorrow!

We all have our moments.  Its knowing when you are falling and saying I NEED HELP!  You will be surprised how many people are going to be behind you to help push you back on track!  As I say this, I know I have a lot of coachees I have not heard from in a long time.  It doesn't matter how hard you feel off that wagon, if you say- I need help - to me, we can figure out a way to get you back on track!  We should all learn to ask for help when we need it!  There is no judgement when we do, because we all have the same goal- to be healthy and fit!

Now, I will be bringing it tomorrow at 5 am or so, who is going to join me!
