About Me

My photo
A little about me. In my normal life, I am a civil engineer who sits behind a desk everyday. I got married to my wonderful husband in 2006. Since meeting him and our many days of eating out and less working out, my weight started to creep up. In August 2007 my girlfriend wanted to get back in shape after her pregnancy. She talked me into running weekly with her. I agreed, and this began my plan to get my body back in shape. I wanted to add some additional workouts to my run, so I pulled out my old Slim in 6 videos. At the same time, I re-found the online message boards at Beachbody where I meet a lot of great people who kept me committed to my fitness goals. I also found a great coach who was there everyday to help me stay on track! Today, I'm still working to sculpt my body and get it into the best shape ever. As I have progressed through my body's transition, I decided to become an Independent Beachbody Coach to help others reach their fitness goals! I realized it was easier then I thought, and I really believe others can change their lives too!

Set your goals for 2009!

Times Square New Year's Eve Wishing Wall where people's personal goals, dreams and wishes written on pieces of colored confetti are posted. They will be collected at the end of 2008, and added to the confetti that will flutter down onto the streets of Times Square in New York City at the 12 o’clock hour on New Year’s Eve.

Happy New Year!

2009 should bring with it new and exciting goals! I think everyone should stop and think about what they want for 2009. If you have been talking about losing weight, getting fit, or just overall improving your health, now is the time! You should write down your health and fitness goals! Start small, maybe to lose 5 lbs, maybe to be able to run around the block without getting short on breathe! There are a lot of things we should look at as a short and easily attainable goal! With a little working out and eating right, these goals can be achieved soon! As you reach those goals, you can make new small goals. These mini goals are what keep pushing you forward. Of course we all have big goals we want to get. Maybe your big goal is to lose 50 lbs? Maybe its to run a marathon? You can't start today and run a marathon right, that is why we set the mini goal! But, as we keep checking off our mini goal, we will get to our big one! One day, we will be able to cross off that marathon from your list. Now, make sure to write down your goal! Writing it down will help you get it! If you keep it in your head, its always just a dream! Having it written down is something to aim for. Its more then just a dream! Its something you want! I've heard of people making a vision board (or dream board). Here you take pictures of your goals (maybe its your bigger goals) and you post them on a board. Then you hang your board somewhere where you see it everyday! Again, its your vision of what you want and it focuses your daily plans and thoughts on how to achieve them! Your vision board may have a picture of a person with 6 pack abs- to get that, you need daily reminders of eating right and working out. We all have a ton of goals and we should all take the time to write then down and aim to reach them! Let's make 2009 a great year! Let's aim to achieve everything we could possibly want!
