About Me

My photo
A little about me. In my normal life, I am a civil engineer who sits behind a desk everyday. I got married to my wonderful husband in 2006. Since meeting him and our many days of eating out and less working out, my weight started to creep up. In August 2007 my girlfriend wanted to get back in shape after her pregnancy. She talked me into running weekly with her. I agreed, and this began my plan to get my body back in shape. I wanted to add some additional workouts to my run, so I pulled out my old Slim in 6 videos. At the same time, I re-found the online message boards at Beachbody where I meet a lot of great people who kept me committed to my fitness goals. I also found a great coach who was there everyday to help me stay on track! Today, I'm still working to sculpt my body and get it into the best shape ever. As I have progressed through my body's transition, I decided to become an Independent Beachbody Coach to help others reach their fitness goals! I realized it was easier then I thought, and I really believe others can change their lives too!

Together we are stronger

I want this post to go out to all my ladies on the Turbo Jam thread!

This is a group currently all ladies, but we welcome any men to join us, who are doing a mix of programs including Turbo Jam, Chalean Extreme, P90X,...  And, they are supporting each other everyday.  This group is going strong on the 100 point challenge.  The combination of coming on the message boards for groups support and taking part in the challenge is definitely working for them!  I see them commenting everyday how they are losing weight, their cloths are fitting a little more loosely, and each day getting one step closer to their goals.

So, I am posting this as a shout out to all my peeps!  It's amazing how the group support and stopping in daily and checking in can really keep you motivated and help you reach your goals!  I've said this over and over, before I became a coach, I had my home.  I would visit the message boards everyday.  I had many days I did not want to push play, but my virtual friends encouraged me to do so.  They kept pushing me to go a little harder, eat a little cleaner.  If it wasn't for those people, I know I would have quit a long time ago.  Now, I'm a coach.  I have my home in Turbo Jam land and a second home in P90X world.   All my new friends are just as supportive and encouraging!

I have been a coach for almost a year now, and am seeing a lot of my same coachees on the message boards.  Those that are sticking around and getting the greatest results are the ones who stop by fairly regularly.

I encourage each and everyone one of you to join us on the message boards.  Any group is a bunch of great people.  They all have goals, and their goals may be similar to yours!  Also, its amazing the tips and information that can be shared.  Sometimes the little things we learn along the way, we talk about.  We share our ups and downs.  When you realize you are not alone in the journey, you will realize you can reach your goals.

So, please stop by.  It's a quick sign up, free to pop in.  And, we love newbies, so don't be afraid to post and just say hi.  But, keep coming back and one day you too will be chatting it up and helping other newbies!

Now, I'll see ya at Why Wait to Achieve your Goals or the Second Floor!
