This is another reason my library is so full of great fun Beachbody programs, when I get bored of one, I just move on to another.
I know this round of P90X will incorporate some Tony Horton One on One videos. Since I workout in the morning before work, an hour and a half of yoga is going to be too long. So, in will go Fountain of Youth. It's about 45 minutes or so and will fit perfectly into my schedule. I also know that Plyo is done every day 2 of the week for the full 90 days, so to add variety, and to keep my legs trim and firm from Chalean Extreme, I'll through in some Plyo legs here and there.
Anyway, today was day 1 of the X! It was Chest and Back. One of my favorites. I love pushing my ablitities for pull-ups and push-ups. Yup, I still need a chair to assist me in pull-ups, but I know my arms/back are doing more of the work them my legs, I can feel it! And, each time I go through the push-ups I do more and more on my toe and get deeper or cleaner form. My back is looking great these days, and I know this workout has A LOT to do with that!
I also took what I learned in Chalean Extreme and went heavier then ever on the weighted back moves! I can't wait to see what this round of P90X will bring.
I followed up with a little ab ripper X! I know I definitely was slacking in my Chalean Extreme workout on ab work. She incorporates ab work in most of her workouts, and has 1 day called out specifically for abs. But, with 3 days a week of ab ripper X along with a clean diet, I know I'll get the mid section I want to show off in my bikini this summer.
Since I know I'd be feeling that workout, I followed it up with a yummy P90X recovery drink with a little glutamine dropped in to help prevent that soreness.
So, day 1 of P90X is officially done and in the books! I'd love to know who will join me for a round to be ripped for summer! And, yes ladies, this program is doable for you too! Not into the whole lifting heaving weights, start off with the lean version. This version of the program is more cardio to help you lean out. That said, I absolutely think women should include strengthtraining in their program! Muscle burns fat, and we all want that! Plus, we should all be lean and TONED! It's nice to have curves in places others only dream about (like arms, back, legs,...)
