Here's what she posted on the boards about her event.
Okay, one more update: I was asked to be a dancer in a Red Cross fundraiser called Dancing with the Stars. They pair "stars" (and I use the term loosely!!) from the community with students from a dance studio in town. We ask people to sponsor us. The dancers do different styles of dance like ballet, swing, jazz. My category: hip hop! My partner is an amazingly talented 14 year old who can move! So much fun! We're dancing to Fergie's "Here we come". And oh thank you Chalene and Debbie for these last 8 weeks!
Here is what was written about her team in the local newspaper!

"These girls ... deserve a lot of credit. I dropped (Katie) like a dozen times, but not today when it counted."Some celebrity dancers used their routine to reflect their personal life.Dan Plein, Red Wing Amateur Baseball Association president, and his daughter, Elle, donned baseball uniforms and danced to "Centerfield."Other celebrities shook what they could.Former state House Speaker Steve Sviggum wiggled his hips during a Latin number, and Assistant Red Wing City Council Administrator Deanna Sheely pleaded for mercy from a Red Wing police officer."My body doesn't do what it used to do," Sheely said after the performance. This year's celebrity dancers were Russ Ryan, Deanna Sheely
