About Me

A little about me. In my normal life, I am a civil engineer who sits behind a desk everyday. I got married to my wonderful husband in 2006. Since meeting him and our many days of eating out and less working out, my weight started to creep up. In August 2007 my girlfriend wanted to get back in shape after her pregnancy. She talked me into running weekly with her. I agreed, and this began my plan to get my body back in shape. I wanted to add some additional workouts to my run, so I pulled out my old Slim in 6 videos. At the same time, I re-found the online message boards at Beachbody where I meet a lot of great people who kept me committed to my fitness goals. I also found a great coach who was there everyday to help me stay on track! Today, I'm still working to sculpt my body and get it into the best shape ever. As I have progressed through my body's transition, I decided to become an Independent Beachbody Coach to help others reach their fitness goals! I realized it was easier then I thought, and I really believe others can change their lives too!

Changing Day by Day!

October 1st is just around the corner!

Alright, we are just about to begin our New Year's Challenge!  What does that mean, it means we need to really spend these last few days and focus!

Here are a few things you can do to get yourself ready!

1.  Clean out your kitchen!  Get rid of all the junk food, unhealthy stuff that is laying around.  Remember, you can't eat something bad if it just isn't there.  And when that craving comes for sweets, are you really going to run to the store to buy it?

2.  Stock up your kitchen!  After you emptied all the cabinets of bad stuff, now is the time to go and buy healthy things!  Remember to review Michi's Ladder and stay as close to the top 2 tiers as possible!

3.  Read all the materials that came with your program!  If you read them before, I want you to pull them out and remind yourself of all the important little pieces of information they stuff in those books.  They will remind you of when to eat, what to eat, calories, to drink your water,...  So, review all the materials and learn your program!

4.  Take your before pictures and measurements!  Yes, we all HATE doing it.  But we want to remember where we started and we want to see our changes.  There will be days the scale may not move, but photos will tell a different story!  Plus, you can enter your before/after in the Million Dollar Body Game for that chance to win $250,000!

5.  If doing P90X, take your fit test!  Yes, one more way to help you see where you started and where you are at the end!

6.  Schedule your workouts!  Pull out your calendar and write on it each day what your workout will be!  Then as each day is completed grab your big sharpie and cross it off!  You will A.  Have it right in front of you to see and remind you of your scheduled workout and B.  Will feel such an accomplishment to put a big X on it and see those X's add up!

7.  Sign up for WOWY, the online super gym!  Yup, join hundreds of other people who will be working out in real time with you!  Wave and say hi!  They can help encourage you and you help them!  You can find success buddies who will be working out with you in advance!  This gives you a reason to show up on time!  the bonus is you may walk away with cash and prizes just for logging on!

8.  Determine your start date!  I say we are starting October 1, but I want you to think about it and adjust it as needed.  When do you want your rest day?  If you like your Friday's off, then make Saturday Sept. 28!  This schedule should work for you, so plan it out!  Let me know when you are starting!  We will all be doing our workouts and completing them the same week, we just may be off a few days!

Ok, there are many other things to do.  But, I am going to keep this list short and sweet!  My last thought, get your mind ready!  Start telling yourself now, I know I can do this and I know I will commit to doing this for the next 90 days!  Its only 90 days and I want to see how far I can push the changes!  If you start thinking positive now, you will be mentally ready for this challenge.

NOW, ARE YOU EXCITED TO GET THIS PARTY STARTED?

I AM!
