A little about me. In my normal life, I am a civil engineer who sits behind a desk everyday. I got married to my wonderful husband in 2006. Since meeting him and our many days of eating out and less working out, my weight started to creep up. In August 2007 my girlfriend wanted to get back in shape after her pregnancy. She talked me into running weekly with her. I agreed, and this began my plan to get my body back in shape. I wanted to add some additional workouts to my run, so I pulled out my old Slim in 6 videos. At the same time, I re-found the online message boards at Beachbody where I meet a lot of great people who kept me committed to my fitness goals. I also found a great coach who was there everyday to help me stay on track! Today, I'm still working to sculpt my body and get it into the best shape ever. As I have progressed through my body's transition, I decided to become an Independent Beachbody Coach to help others reach their fitness goals! I realized it was easier then I thought, and I really believe others can change their lives too!

ChaLean Extreme Update!


Alright, I am officially in week 2 of ChaLean Extreme!  Can I say- I love this program!

What do I love about this program?

1.  The workouts are short.  Most are about 35 minutes.  The cardios are a little longer.  So, I can get up and get it done!  And, it flies by!  Ok, so days, I wish it would go faster as I am about to yell that it hurts.  But, really it goes fast.

2.  I love that it comes with 2 learning DVD's.  One to watch if you are using free weights and one to watch if you use the resistance bands!  Learning proper form is very important!

3.  Speaking of form, Chalean talks all the time through the workout.  And, most of the time she is reminding you of form!  She tells you not to extend your knees past your toes in a squat.  She shows or tells you what muscles you are focusing on for that move!  Again, form is so important, especially when you go heavy!

4.  She really challenges me to want to go heavy!  I feel like I have to push my self.  Remember, "its go heavy or go home!"  For females wondering won't I bulk up?  Definitely not!  I know you will not look like a dude from lifting heavy weights!  Just look at Chalene and look at her sister, both are not "bulky".

5.  I love walking away from each day's workout totally dripping wet!

6.  The ab workouts are great!  Very challenging, but not so difficult you couldn't do half of it!

7.  I love the cardio workouts.  The one is an interval that is all about cardio with a weighted workout for the "recovery".  The other cardio workout is really an interval workout if you want one!

8.  The motivational CD is definitely something I listen to at least once a week to keep me focused.  

9.  The program comes with great ideas for meals!  It takes the guess work out of daily meal planning to get the best results.  But, its not as complicated as in P90X!  Also, there are DVD's in the set to help you "Makeover your Kitchen".

I am looking forward to phase 2 to see what comes next!  I know that in Phase 1, my legs will be shapely!  There is a lot of squat/lower body work!  I feel legs everyday in this program!  I know my butt is going to be so lifted!  The squats and other exercises really make you feel the burn!

I would still recommend this program to anyone who likes to lift some weights and really build muscles.  Because we should all know by now, muscle eats fat!  It speeds up your metabolism and will really lean you out!
