Being today is September 1, that means I have 40 days left to get ready for the Baltimore 1/2 marathon on Oct. 10th. Am I ready? Uhmm, nope. I have run 8 miles as my longest run to date. I have to be at 13.1 miles by race day. But, in the next few weeks, if I keep my training going as planned, I am confident I will be ready.
It's funny that now the Baltimore 1/2 marathon is just the training run for my full marathon! It's almost hard to believe!
I keep hearing from others that have run half marathons before, if you can do 10 miles before your race day, then race day will be easy to get to 13! What? Overnight I can magically run 3 more miles then I ever ran before!!! They say, the crowd cheering you on make those miles just go by so easy! But, I'll listen and learn. I still wonder what world these runners live on? I'm listening, but secretly, I may be training a little differently to satisfy myself!
I wanted to share the course of my Baltimore run! Let you all see what I am up for in the next few weeks.
