About Me

My photo
A little about me. In my normal life, I am a civil engineer who sits behind a desk everyday. I got married to my wonderful husband in 2006. Since meeting him and our many days of eating out and less working out, my weight started to creep up. In August 2007 my girlfriend wanted to get back in shape after her pregnancy. She talked me into running weekly with her. I agreed, and this began my plan to get my body back in shape. I wanted to add some additional workouts to my run, so I pulled out my old Slim in 6 videos. At the same time, I re-found the online message boards at Beachbody where I meet a lot of great people who kept me committed to my fitness goals. I also found a great coach who was there everyday to help me stay on track! Today, I'm still working to sculpt my body and get it into the best shape ever. As I have progressed through my body's transition, I decided to become an Independent Beachbody Coach to help others reach their fitness goals! I realized it was easier then I thought, and I really believe others can change their lives too!

Getting ready for Vegas!

I love my girl Sarah!  She has been on the Beachbody train awhile and has gotten some incredible results! She has also become a coach and is sharing her experience and success with others.

Sarah's current motivation is to get ready for an upcoming trip to Vegas!  You go girl!

Anyway, I'll let her pictures and Sarah tell her own story!  If you are interested in having Sarah be your coach, just click here.

Remember, these are real people getting real results with Beachbody programs.  These programs, and having a coach to help you will get you the results you want.  So, what are you waiting for?

Sarah before

Sarah today
I started with Beachbody 1 year ago after trying and trying and trying
to get in shape on my own.  I have numerous other workout programs
that are good workouts, but without the support of the Beachbody
community I failed over and over again.  Even with BB I have had my
share of struggles, but I always seem to go back.  I am sooo
encouraged and motivated by the stories and my friends on the boards.
I can't even really tell you how much I am motivated when I go on and
share my struggles and successes with others and know that someone
else has been through it and I can learn from there mistakes.  I hope
that as I continue on my journey I may also inspire others to take
charge of their lives and their health.  I am a BB coach and I hope to
use those tools that I have to help other people understand the
importance of taking control of their lives.

When I started with BB I weighted 193 lbs.  And though it has taken me
a whole year, I am now down 30 lbs at 163.  I have also lost 5% body
fat.  I am gaining muscle mass (which excites me to no end) and most
of all and most importantly, I am gaining so much self confidence.  I
still have about 40 lbs to go to reach my gaol and a healthy BMI for
my height.  But I will never turn back now.  I am seeing so many
changes in my life.  I am confident, strong, energetic, and most of
all I am happy.  It can only get better as I continue to lose weight
and get fit.  Thanks to BB and all of the support I get I can say that
I am happy with myself for the first time in a long time.

What programs am I using?  I really like to mix it up so that I don't
get bored.  My favorite is Turbo Jam, then Hip Hop abs.  I also use
Power 90, Yoga Booty Ballet, and Slim in 6.  With all of those mixed
up, there is no way for my "workout ADD" to kick in.  In about 6
months I am taking a trip to Las Vegas, so for the last 90 days before
I am going to hit P90X like nobody's business.  I am going to be my
sexiest and most confident version of me there has ever been.

If you want to try any of these products you can order them from my
BB website at   http://www.beachbodycoach.com/esuite/home/travlingal

I wish you loads of luck on your journey.  Now, come join me on mine!!!

Before

After

Hi!  My name is Natalie Albert.  I am a 29 year old Floridian who is finally back in shape. I work full time as a meeting planner and I also love to cook, dine out and travel!

I have always been struggling with weight. I was an overweight kid and teenager, and unhappy. In college and after I had my highs and lows. I'd be motivated for a couple of months, then bored and giving up. In March of 2006 I went on a one month business trip, full of free meals & plenty of happy hours. I came back with no motivation as well as with my highest weight ever! I kept saying "my clothes shrank", instead of admitting the truth. The trigger for getting back into shape now was a picture of myself in a bikini, next to one of my friends. She looked amazing and I was left wondering what happened to me!

Soon after that, I bought Turbo Jam and my life changed! I really paid attention to what I ate and stuck to the amazing workout calendars in Turbo Jam, Slim in 6, and Slim Series. After I completed all these and reached by goal, I decided to try the gym again. But that's when I started noticing myself slack off. I realized how much I missed Beachbody! Now I'm on to Chalene Extreme and SO excited for the Journey.

I became a coach to help motivate and inspire others. I love what Beachbody did for me and now I want to pass it on. If you are looking for someone to help you in your journey to your best body ever, I would be honored to help you. As your coach, I will be there every step along your path. I will push you when you need a little extra kick to get moving. I will offer that support when you feel you just can't go another day. You can depend on me for support!

CURRENT WORKOUT:  I'm on to ChaLEAN Extreme!  It's an intense and enjoyable workout.  Chalene is an amazing motivator.  Check out my blog (fitfoodie) to read all about my journey.

One More Success Story!

As I noted in my last post, I love seeing success stories!  I'm always so proud of people that are taking those excuses and are throwing them out the window!  These people are seeing their dreams become a reality!

I've introduced you to one of my Coachws and Coachee Judy before!  I so love her!  She has been just as motivating to me, as she says I have been to her!  Judy has transformer her body in amazing ways.  She has lost over 80 lbs since her journey began!  She actually was one of the December winners in the Million Dollar Body Game!

Judy has just completed Chalean Extreme!  She too, has decided that her next challenge will be P90X!  You rock it girl, I know when you want something you will achieve it!

Here are Judy's current before/after photos with Chalean Extreme only!  If you would like to see more of Judy's transformation, I recommend you check out her blog!  The Fitness X-press!

Just for fun, here is a picture of Judy, myself and Debbie Siebers (Slim in 6 Trainer) from the Coaching Summit in California in March!

Keep up the great job Judy!  I'm so proud of you and everything you have achieved!  I look forward to watching you continue to grow and succeed!

More Success Stories

I have to say, one of the best things about being a coach is knowing that you are helping people change their lives.  I keep saying, being a coach is not about going around and selling a product or a program.  It's giving people the hope and encouragement they need to succeed!  We all fall off the wagon and even have days were we believe things are not possible, but having a coach that is there for you and believes in you more then you may believe in yourself is just incredible to help you succeed.

I want to say that because, I get success stories all the time, and I NEVER cease to smile!

This is one of my coachees!  Crystal has been a regular on the message boards.  She would come by and be so active for days, weeks at a time.  But, then she would disappear because she may have had a week moment and felt bad to admit she was slipping off track.  (first, I want to say- hello- when you are falling off the wagon, that is when you should be reaching out to your coach for help and support!  Not  run and hide!)  But, Crystal stuck with it!  She continued to push through, and even with some bad moments here and their her results are incredible!  Not to embarrass her, I'm actually going to cut and paste some of her email to me!  Why, because it proves that we are not all perfect!  But, it's being consistent that gets the results.  It's about finding what motivates you to succeed!

So, here is Crystals before and after with Chalean Extreme!  And this is some of what she had to say to me!  I love how she is already planning on what to do next.  P90X is not as scary as you think, and I know you will rock it, Crystal!  So continue to BRING IT!  I'm so proud of you!  Take a minute and read her story.  Does it sound like you?  Did you take your before pictures and HATE them!  I know I did!

Crystal Before

Crystal After!

Currently, I am about to enter into my final week of CLE and I still haven't cleaned up my diet 100%, but I've gotten better and my work-outs have been very extreme (I'm also beginning to feel better about myself, which is most important). I just received P90X in the mail on Friday, and I will begin that program next monday, April 27th. I was once afraid of P90X, but not any longer as I feel stronger than ever. I just wanted to let you know that I'm still here, I'm still working hard toward my goals, and I'm going to really bring it in my final week of CLE so that I get off to a great start with P90X. I just set up a profile on Bodybuilding.com as this website has been inspiring me like crazy lately. I really want to push myself to be as lean and strong as possible eventually, but I know that I have to start somewhere.

Thanks so much for being a great BB coach and I still read all of your coach check in e-mails to keep myself motivated. Also, I have attached some progress photos to this e-mail. The photos in the gray w/o suit were taken back in Jan. of this year when I first started, and the other pics were taken today, April 19th.

I hope I can inspire others because it was only 4 months ago when I first began and I never dreamed of looking and feeling as good as I do now. I tell you, before and after pictures are such an amazing tool.  I absolutely HATE my before pics.  (Crystal- we all do!)   The good part is I can take pictures now and actually compare and see the difference rather than if I hadn't had taken those awful pics, I would have to rely on picturing it in my head. Pictures are such motivation!

If you are looking for someone to help you succeed, I'd love to be your coach!  It's free to have me coach you, so what do you have to lose?  All you need to do is complete this quick form and then drop me an introduction email and let's get started!

If you are ready to Become a Coach and help others succeed and meet their goals, while taking your goals to a whole new level, you can learn more or sign up on my website at The Fitness Spot or you can check out this website for additional information - The Winning Stride.

Now, let me share your success story!

Bring it!

Results!

So, I was talking about how I am leaning out, well I wanted to take a minute and post some update pictures!  I'm about 2 weeks into Lean Circuit Phase, which means I rearing to the end of Round 1 of Chalean Extreme.  That leads me to the next question- what to do next?  I think the results I am getting are rockin, I may go for round 2 of Chalean Extreme!  I already have my little food journal that I am going to start doing come April 1!  So, I want to go strong to the finish and step it up for phase 2!

As I said yesterday, I'm getting leaner, toner, and just getting the results I really want!

Now, let's let the photos do the talking!

Today, I'm at 126 lbs.  (I started at 155).  I'm down to 16% body fat (at least -9%).  I'm at a comfy size 4 (wow, I still can't believe that was possible, not when I started at a tight 12!).  I see my reflection in the window and see a skinny person with ab definition and really sometimes wonder- who is that!

I'm proof that these programs work!  I know if I can do it, so can you!  It just takes 3 things!

1.  DECIDE - It's time to change your life, and having your WHY!
2.  COMMIT - Make the commitment to yourself to reach your goals!
3.  SUCCESS - When you do 1 and 2, you will succeed!  I just know it!

If you need help, motivation, support,... to reach your goals let me know!  I'm a FREE coach, I'm here to help you, cheer you on, kick ya a little when you need it,...  I just want you to succeed!

To have me coach you, complete this short form!  Then drop me an email and say hi!  Let's get you started on a fitness program and nutritional program you can do!

Learn From Success!

Great Results E-Course

Lesson 6:  Learn From Success

Success story #1 - Courtney M.

It is said that the easiest way to be succeed, in weight-loss or in life, is simply to find successful people and do what they do!

Today you'll meet an inspiring woman named Courtney.  Her story is incredible.  It shows that determination and a powerful WHY can help you make big changes to your health in an amazingly short period of time!

This is an excerpt from a recent email from her:

I am passionate about BB as I have lost 30lbs in 3 months and also have lowered my blood pressure drastically so I don't have to take the 3 medications that I was taking before I started this journey anymore. I know that there programs work and I want to share that with everyone.

I wanted to learn more, so I called her.  What I learned blew me away.

Courtney is a 30 year old single mom taking care of a beautiful 3 year old boy. Taking care of her son is the most important thing in her life.  "He has truly shown me what is important in life and gave me the faith to dream again."

Several months ago, Courtney went to her doctor because she was having severe, debilitating headaches.  The headaches would literally disable her for days on end!  While normal blood pressure is 120/80, the doctor found Courtney's blood pressure to bedangerously high at 170/120. He told her it was so high that a blood vessel in her brain could burst at any time.  She needed to get it down.  If she didn't lose weight, he said, Courtney would not live to see her son's sixth birthday!

Talk about a powerful WHY!

The doctor put Courtney on 3 different blood pressure meds.  Courtney knew her life had to change.

 "Team Beachbody saved my life!"

Courtney tells the her story, "A friend told me about Slim In 6 and then I happened to see an infomercial. I ordered immediately. I figured 'Hey if she is doing this why not? I have to do something so I might as well start here.'  I was uncomfortable going to a gym as I didn't want people staring at the 'fat girl' so to speak. I started the program as soon as it came in the mail, which didn't take long."

It wasn't easy for her at first.  "It took some getting used to when you are used to doing nothing but sitting on your butt on the couch. The eating was the hard part and still is to be honest. I remember having McDonald's withdrawals. I was strict with myself though and before I knew it I couldn't stand the smell of it just driving by."

She continues, "When I started this journey on August 11t I was 210lbs, very sedentary, and taking 3 blood pressure pills a day that were doing nothing for the problem. I completed Slim in 6 on September 22nd. I lost a total of 18 pounds and 12 inches in just 6 weeks!"

Courtney wasn't done there.  She was a woman on a mission!  She then started Turbo Jam and lost another 15 pounds

As she started moving, her blood pressure began to drop.  Within 3 months Courtney had lost 33 pounds, and her blood pressure had dropped all the way back to normal.  Not normal while taking three medications, mind you.  I mean NORMAL normal.  Her doc was able to take her off ALL three blood pressure medications.  That bears repeating.  Her doctor took her off all her medications!

"I went from severely high blood pressure and not knowing if I would see my three year old son grow up to normal blood pressure in 3 months.  My doctor was in shock, as I am still!"

Because of her dedication backed by an incredible new sense of purpose- her WHY- Courtney's entire life spun around in a remarkably short time.  She not only changed her health, but her energy level, attitude, and whole outlook on life!

"To know that in three months time everything has changed is a miracle to me. I went from not being able to wrestle on the floor with my little man to him telling Momma to leave him alone! I am so excited that I can't put words to what I am feeling.

It was a hard road and I still have problems with eating clean every day. I will be the first one to say that it's not easy.  I have so much energy and a passion to live life now that I want to share that with others and improve their quality of life also."

Courtney's Secrets to Success:

1. Use the Message boards.  "I found the message boards when I first ordered Slim In 6….I hadn't even received it yet.  I found a group of girls that were very supportive and motivational. They helped me through the times when I wanted to give up and encouraged me that no matter how tired or sore I was to keep Bringing It".

2.  Play, Shake, and Share.   "I make sure that on a daily basis I take my Activit Multi-Vitamin and have my Meal Replacement Shake. I love the chocolate! I also use Beachbody's Whey Protein Powder when I am really sore after a workout. It seems to help with that muscle soreness and getting back to normal quickly."

3.  Take advantage of the Club tools.  "I am a Beachbody Club member and love the benefits it gives. At any time I can go in and create a weekly meal plan and shopping list that are within my recommended calories which are tailored to my program of choice. I also love the Trainer Tips and Trainer Corners and chat rooms."

I'll close this lesson with a special note from Courtney to you:

With Team Beachbody you literally change your body, change your health, and change your life. If you stick with it your dreams will come true. And because of my own determination to see my little man grow up I can finally say I am in ONEDERLAND and financially free! The feeling is indescribable! I cant wait to see where this journey continue to takes me….and you!

Best wishes,
Courtney M.

Your homework:

1. Push play 6 times this week.  Remember, a crummy workout is 1000 times better than no workout at all!  And better yet, enter your workouts into WOWY for your chance to win daily prizes and track your progress!
2. If you have not taken your 30-day progress pictures and measurements, do it this week.
3.  If you are a Beachbody Member and been using the products and getting results, share your story with your coach, and let your coach share your story to their coachees!  We all get motivated when we see success!

Enjoy your week!

My 30 day pictures with ChaLean Extreme!

So, the end of January brought Day 30 for Chalean Extreme.  I'm quite happy with my results.  I don't expect the scale to go down these days, and all I'm looking for is more toning mainly.  Ok, as many girls, we all have our problems areas that I want to continue to improve on, but I'll keep taking it day by day.

I plan on doing a little more of the cardio workouts this week, then a day or 2 off.  We are going skiing for a few days, and I want strong legs to do some good solid days of skiing.  But, when I come back, it will be time to Push it with phase 2 of Chalean!

I have to say, I have really decided to watch my diet.  You know, eat 5 times a day, watch the portion sizes, increase the protein I am eating, take my vitamins.  And, my big push, reduce the carbohydrates I am eating in a day.  Also, when I do eat them, to try and eat them early in the day.  I do think the results are starting to show!  I'm happy.

These are from day 1, which is from Sept. 29, 2007 to Feb. 1, 2009 (how many days is that?) Weight 155 lbs to 127 lbs = -28 lbs Chest 35" to 31.5" = - 3.5" Waist 31" to 27" = -4" Stomach 38" to 34.5" = - 3.5" Butt 39.5" to 37.5" = - 2" Thighs 23" to 21" = - 2" Calves pretty much the same, just more toned Biceps 10 3/4" to 10" = -.75" Total weight loss = 28 lbs Total inches lost 33 3/8"

If you would like to try any of the programs I am doing at home to get these fabulous results, or if you would like me to coach you, you should check out my website for more information, to sign up or to order.    I want those results!

My Story!

Me Before, summer of 2006!

Me After, summer of 2008!

I have not posted my story in a long time. So, really wanted to share!

I started with P90 back in 2001! Me and my bf at the time were getting great results. It was my intro into "lifting" weights and not just doing cardio. We hit day 65 or so when 9/11 hit. Living around DC, it was a very emotional time. I think priorities had changed and I fell off the wagon.

A few years later, I got slim in 6 and did that. I got to week 5 and quit! Just again, feel off the wagon because something came up and life interrupted. But, again, I was getting results- so why did I quit?

In 2005 I met my soon to be hubby. He wanted me to play in a soccer league. I quickly realized I was sooo out of shape to run and play soccer. But, I was on the team, so had too! I again, got into Slim in 6, and that really improved my game, endurance,... But, soccer season ended, and I again went back to old habits!

Then, in 2006, I was on my boat and was fat and unhappy! I really was miserable. My girlfriend just had a baby and wanted to lose the extra weight. She, started a girls night out where we would go run! We started at a mile and just built up! It sparked something. We talked about eating healthy, getting back in shape,... It was like a flash, I needed to do this. I AGAIN pulled out Slim in 6! This time I got on the message boards. I hooked up with a girl that was a coach. She was incredible. I learned so much from her and she has always motivated me to keep going! She made me go through all 6 weeks of Slim in 6! It actually was 7 weeks for me, because I kept one day of running in the week and added the "missed" days to the end of my program. By week 4, I literally laid in bed and thought I was melting away. It was so strange. But it was great. I ended up losing 8 pounds and 15 inches and at least 1 pants size. I probably lost more, but never did the day 1 photos/measurements ( a huge regret now).

My coach talked me into trying the P90X. I was terrified! I was scared of the pull-ups, the "extreme",... but I did it!  I have done P90X and even some P90X plus! It totally changed me! Totally leaned me out, toned me up! My "scared' quickly vanished! I soon found my favorite workout to be chest and back with all the pull-ups that I so hated at the beginning! I mixed in some Turbo Jam, some Hip Hop Abs, some Slim in 6, slim series throughout the time. Why, because I like variety. It keeps it fun and keeps me going!

So, I started in August 2006! I'm still going strong today! I workout 6 days a week. On my light weeks, its 4 times a week! I'm stronger now, I'm happy, I run up steps not die! I have gone down from a tight size 12 pants to a nice size 4! I have lost 30 lbs and over 30 inches. I still am leaning out and getting those abs I always wanted. Here is her story!

My Transformation Story:

My journey started about three years ago when I could not look at myself in the mirror. I had difficulty walking up a flight of stairs without gasping or becoming out of breath, not to mention I had extreme pain in my knees from carrying around excess weight for twenty years. I had gained a lot of weight with both of my pregnancies and had never taken any of it off. When I had seen the pictures of myself from my 40th birthday party, I knew I had to do something about my weight. I realized that if I did not change, then I would probably develop major health problems later in life. The first thing I did was turn to Weight Watchers. With their program I had learned about making better food choices and they gave me the support I needed at the time. With their guidance I had lost an amazing 85 pounds within three years. I learned that you not only need good nutrition to loose weight but exercise as well. I had introduced walking at first and then slowly added in some home workout DVD’s. I eventually was introduced to Debbie Seibers on a TV infomercial, and bought Slim in 6 and The Slim Series. While incorporating these routines into my journey, I was able to achieve my weight loss goals. It wasn't always an easy clear path, I stumbled across many road blocks and plateaus, but I did it! I had reached my goal in November of 2007 and became confident in my new image, so I stopped attending the Weight Watchers meetings. I did not want to rely on attending weekly meetings, or to get weighed in each week to stay accountable. I wanted to try and succeed on my own.

During the tax season of 2008, the busy time for my work, I became lazy with my workouts and eating habits due to the workload and late hours. By the time tax season came to an end on April 17th, I had gained back 15 pounds. It was hard to get back into my fitness routines and regain my motivation. I knew what I had to do but I kept struggling without any success. I would lose a few pounds and then gain them back and I was not getting in my exercise consistently. I then realized I needed a support system to continue my fitness goals.
When I originally purchased the Debbie Seibers DVD’s from Beachbody, there was a suggestion in the package to log into the Team Beachbody website for support. At that time, I did not use this feature while using her programs. When I realized I was having difficulty getting back on track with my journey, I decided it was about time that I checked out the website and I must say I was impressed with what I found. Beachbody is a huge family of like-minded people, trying to accomplish the same things, which is overall health and fitness. I liked that I could track my exercise routines daily, and work out with people who are committed to working just as hard in WOWY, along with tracking food choices and planning meals. I have found Beachbody to be the support that I needed through other members and chatting on the forums about weight loss and nutrition. I am now back on track, dropping the excess pounds and reshaping my physical appearance due to the programs and support from my coach and friends that I found at Beachbody. The website is very informative and has great information on nutrition and menu planning along with trainer tips and the ability to chat live with the trainers. There are a vast number of exercise programs to choose from, depending on your fitness level and desire.

I have enjoyed reading success stories of other Beachbody members for inspiration and I feel that now is my turn to pay it forward. So I too have become a Beachbody coach and I hope that I may also be that inspiration for others to succeed as well! I will be starting the full roation of Chalean Extreme to kick start 2009, and I would love to help you succeed with the program that you have chosen to use! Please join me on my Journey, and visit my thread "The Fitness X-press" for support. Together we will commit, succeed, and find our final destination!
