I want to send this out as a reminder as you go into this holiday. There will be candy everywhere for the next few days/weeks. The kids will go trick or treating and be bringing it back to the house. You may be buying it to hand out to the kids. Or, like me, everyone in the office will have candy that they don't want in their house, so they lay it around the office as to tempt you as you walk by.
I want you to stop and think! Do you really need that piece of candy? What is it going to get you? How will it impact your goals? You have been working out and eating clean with your program, don't let this crazy holiday where we hand out sugar to kids get to you! When you think of the growing obesity problems and you think of how times are changing, its amazing that there still is a thing of trick or treating where you give kids candy and put them on a sugar high!
Also, for those without kids or those who plan on going to the Halloween Parties this weekend, plan ahead! Lisa had sent out a reminder for everyone on the Second Floor. You must eat healthy food before you hit the party! Plan head and again, spend a few minutes and consider what you want? Are all those beers or drinks, chips, dips, cakes,... worth compromising your results for???
So, have a Happy and Safe Halloween! If you want a piece of candy, have one small piece and enjoy it as your cheat! Don't keep eating and reaching into that candy bowl. At the party, choose the veggie platter over all the ghostly cookies and cupcakes!
